Flawed main character - and lots of suspense.

The eloquent and engaging writing of Scott Turow never disappoints me. His main character is all too human - and the ending was a let down. We expected poor Mack to make the more noble choices.

this is the book for you. I'm glad I bought it as a discount book ($4.98 for a hardback -- less than a good paperback). Apparently I'm in the minority on this one, but I'll never buy another Scott Turow book. He has mastered the art of writing about whiners!
